Well, here we are.. back at that date.. 4.1.5.11… 10 years to the day that i post this… now of course its, 4.1.5.21…. Fans for years after Scream 3 ALWAYS talked about a fourth film, and always went to Scream and GhostFace forums (before Facebook ruined forums/message boards) and spoke with regards to a new film..

Most the time we saw topics on a film the key elements wanted were always the same names… Wes, Kevin, Neve, David and Courteney, and the score composer, Marco Beltrami… Thankfully we got what we wanted for that little checklist, but the fourth film always had mixed reactions.. Some preferring the extra footage we saw for Marnie and Jennys deaths, and others just nit-picking at the plot for whatever reason…. overall i personally was glad to see GhostFace back in action, and i wasnt giving the film top marks.. although i did enjoy it..  My current rating of films from favourite to least favourite is 2, 1, 4 ,3 …. I find no.1 to be almost unbeatable because of its unforgettable opening, but it was a slow film in regards to how it goes from one day to the next… Where as Scream 2, i found more suspensful, and always wondering what was going to happen next…

For me personally, it was the birth of Scream 4 that led me to get to know many fans over time., Nate Ragon, Meggy Blaine, Richie Suttles, Zach Cook, John Valeri, Zach Bartron, the list goes on…
It was also the project that got RJ Torbert started in Social media, and also the influence of Wes Craven who encouraged RJ to come online to Twitter..

Well, here we are again… as its early new year we always see the catalogs appear via Fun Worlds website… in many cases we get to see the odd items via RJ Torbert, when Fun World is in attendance at the New Orleans Halloween Expo show! , But of course with COVID STILL also in attendance, the show was changed, to an online format instead… Even so, Catalogs are now viewable for Traders, and Distributors,..
It seems we are getting more items in the wake of the fifth film, and also Dead By Daylight items are on the way too… As to whether ALL these items are coming to UK or not is yet to be asked about, Hopefully they will be.. As for USA , im sure they will be getting ALL the items listed in catalogs and seen in the images below.. I will be talking to the UK Distributor very soon for more details..
Images of NEW Merchandise and items are below… Including 25th Anniversary SCREAM items too…  Eagle-Eyed people have already noticed than an EU Stamped mask IS USED on the 25th Anniversary items , and remember , this is the 25th Anniversary of SCREAM… its also the 30th Anniversary of GhostFace this year!!

PLEASE NOTE: Items with ‘Discontinued’ on may be confusing… it is something i will explain on the next Sunday LIVE Stream, which will be on February 21st, at the time of writing this!

Well, here we go again.. Just under a year to go until the new film is out to see.. Whether its viewed as it should be (in Theaters) or not depends on COVID i suppose..
Even so, today we can reveal some newer pictures of masks from the set of Scream 5, or S C R E A M  (or whatever it ends up being named).. fans had the chance to grab a mask from the set of the new film, via RJ and a Tweet back in the last week of November… the first 5 checks’ to be sent to Fun World for a good cause (4 Ocean) would see those people receive a mask off the set of the new film…
In time we see fans receive these masks, some have been Ultra White Masks, and a few have been the much Favourited EU Stamped Masks!
Nate Ragon, and Meggy Blaine, and also John Valeri have received masks…  and we have pictures below…

Also, just to be clear.. These are masks ‘SENT FROM THE SET’ .. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THEY ARE USED IN THE FILM, OR ARE IN SPECIFIC SCENES, RJ WAS ONLY TOLD THAT THESE MASKS WERE ON THE SET WHILST FILMING… He was not told what they were used for, or even IF they were used at all !!

Well, here we are… at the end of a Disaterous year ! … 2020 !!!! BAD for so many reasons… BUT.. We finally got movement somehow on the next SCREAM film!!
And as we see today, confirmed now by the original writer himself.. Kevin Williamson!! Scream 5 wont be the official title!! Its simply SCREAM !!!   A nice nod back to its roots.. and it sort of fits for other reasons too like the fact that the rights to it are now owned by SpyGlass media and also having Paramount Studios take the reins of it also fits to a new title, as the first four films were obviously from Miramax/TWC…

Well, during 2020 we have certainly seen many a rumour and many actual facts pop up about Scream 5.. and now after all the speculation and confirmations we finally have some filming taking place..
We have also been seeing new pics of Neve Campbell too, who still looks as stunning as ever… I have rounded up many pictures from in and around the set posted by several people on Twitter..

September 10th 2020: Neve Campbell confirmed for Scream 5

Neve CampbellWell, here we are again, with all this news of Scream 5 cast members coming i have personally only been waiting for one main headline!! And im sure many other fans will agree too, ‘Would Neve Return?’ …. We knew she was in talks and was listening to what the film makers wanted to do, and how they loved the films and wanted to respect Wes Craven too.. and now finally, we have our news we wanted… She’s back!!! And now she completes the trio, so again, we have our beloved characters to go into a new story.. My personal wish is that they DON’T kill them, but dont let them off too easy either, if the story has to carry on without them, (if a Scream 6 or 7 was to be possible) then i would always like to know that Dewey, Gale, and Sidney were always still at least alive in the Scream world!

Neve Campbell will reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in Paramount-Spyglass’ relaunch of Scream.

She joins previously announced Scream gang David Arquette and Courteney Cox as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers, and new cast members Jack Quaid, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega. Production is planned to shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina for a Jan. 14, 2022 theatrical release.

Radio Silence said, “We’re pinching ourselves! It’s hard to express how much the character Sidney Prescott shaped our love of movies and to have the chance to work with Neve is truly a dream come true. It just wouldn’t be a ‘Scream’ movie without Neve and we’re so excited and honored to join her in Woodsboro.”

Campbell said, “After spending time speaking with Radio Silence, they have shown such love, respect and admiration for Wes Craven and all that he’s created in the ‘Scream’ franchise. I am beyond excited to step back into the role of Sidney Prescott and return to Woodsboro.”

Well, seconds after the last cast annoucement we got another shortly after, Actress Jenna Ortega now joins alongside David Arquette, Courteney Cox, and Melissa Barrera… Info from Deadline below…
The news im personally eagerly awaiting is that of Neve Campbell… Im praying she comes back, and if she does, then i hope her involment is just as much as it was in Scream 4, and not a repeat of Scream 3’s limited time we had with her…

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Count You’ and ‘Jane the Virgin’ actress in for ‘Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Scream, She joins franchise cast members David Arquette and Courteney Cox who’ll reprise their respective roles as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers, as well as newcomer Melissa Barrera (In the Heights). We first told you about Cox’x returns and Barrera addition.  The production will shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Ortega is best known for her roles in the Netflix series You as Ellie and the CW’s Jane the Virgin as Young Jane. Ortega can next be seen in Yes Day starring Jennifer Garner and The Babysitter: Killer Queen with Bella Thorne. The actress recently wrapped filming on Songbird opposite Demi Moore and Bradley Whitford, which was one of the first notable feature productions to shoot in Los Angeles after the pandemic shutdown.

While 2020 has been a hell of a bad year, although in th ebackground we still seem to be seeing development proceed for Scream 5… the latest we heard of course was that Courteney was back as Gale, and the next piece of news i was personally hoping for was that Neve was coming back.. But nothing known as of yet… even so, we now know that anothe ractress has been confirmed, via Deadline…

EXCLUSIVE: In The Heights and Vida star Melissa Barrera has booked a key role in, we can reveal, becoming the first new cast member to be announced for the anticipated Spyglass Media and Paramount relaunch.
Cameras are due to roll in Wilmington, North Carolina, this fall and the project is due to wrap by year’s end. Additional casting is underway on the ensemble horror.

July 31st 2020: Courteney Cox to return for Scream 5…

Well, after a short while, we have more news regarding Scream 5… and this does sort of remind me of the pre-Scream 4 days… as it was very similar to how cast would slowly confirm their returns, and im sure it almost went the same way … and Neve may have been last to confirm for the fourth film… But today… we see more info , Gale Weathers-Riley IS returning… Deadline.com released THIS ARTICLE earlier..

Thank god both Dewey and Gale are coming.. i sincerley hope Neve can yet again complete the trio as they did ten years ago!! What better way to have them all together again and to see the film hopefully releasing 25 years after the first!!   Info below from Deadlines article..

June 26th 2020: Spyglass Media and Paramount teaming up to bring us SCREAM 5 !

Well here we are, still ‘mostly’ in lockdown… and little pieces keep popping up with regards to Scream 5… This time its just the facts regarding that Spyglass Media and Paramount Pictures will be releasing the future SCREAM 5… and its planned for a 2021 release… 25 years after the first film!!  As far as anyone officially knows, David Arquette is the only cast member confirmed right now, but we all assume, that Neve and Courteney are to follow, at least with talks…. We already know that Neve has had contact… but i hope the main ‘Trio’ will hopefully be back!! HOPEFULLY!!

Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures have joined forces to co-produce the relaunch of “Scream,” sources tell Variety.

The latest installment, in which David Arquette is set to reprise his role as Deputy Dewey, will be directed by “Ready or Not” filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.

Additional castings to follow.

Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett will work with James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, who are co-writing the project. Project X Entertainment’s Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak are serving as producers while creator Kevin Williamson and the third member of the Radio Silence trio, Chad Villella, are executive producing.

Targeted for release in 2021, Paramount will market and distribute the film worldwide in all media with select international territories and domestic pay 1 television being handled by Spyglass.

Principal photography is expected to begin late summer in Wilmington NC. Additional casting updates will be announced in the coming weeks.
