Hello again, for a while now we have been hearing of a possible reboot of SCREAM, mostly in the way that Blumhouse had an interest, yet nothing ever used to suffice after hearing that info, on social media there would always be a fan that thought he/she was sharing a link to an article that said fan thought nobody had seen, but we all had seen it!! It was now getting to be old news, and the main fact that we lost Wes seemed to make fans say ‘Leave it alone’.. which many agreed with..
Then we come to November 6th 2019..
Bloody-Disgusting add the EXCLUSIVE NEWS that SpyGlass are now resurrecting GhoistFace… (excerpt below)
While Craven had directed all four Scream films before his passing, various filmmakers would get behind the camera for a television series that ran for two seasons on MTV and a third on VH1.
All four films remained canon while the series would create its own mythology. It’s unclear if the next film will continue to be canonized within Craven’s universe or be a remake, but we are hearing that, as of this writing, Williamson is not writing the screenplay.
The fact that at this early stage Kevin Williamson doesn’t seem to have any involvement is a major thing for me personally, and while there were fallout’s between Williamson and Bob Weinstein during SCREAM 4, at least we still had some sort of contribution from Kevin, and apparently Wes was writing bits of the scripts too in between takes!! But at least Scream 4 was completed, albeit a bit stressful!
Then we come to a more recent date.. November 18th.. Rumors start that the original cast are set to return.. something that takes me way back in time to 2008/09 when the very early news articles were starting up about the trios return, and although they did end up doing so ill never forget one of Kevin Willamson’s tweets back then in early stages simply stating ‘She said she wont do it!…’ in relation to Neve Campbell at the time turning it down when first being asked to return…
Below i have another excerpt from Bleedingcool.com… in relation to the trios return again…
A new report states that while nothing is officially decided on (more labeled as rumor mill material) producers of the next Scream movie are actively interested in reviving the franchise with Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette. If true, this could mean that the response from fans has been something Spyglass is very aware of, and could potentially give us more hope for their take on the iconic horror film series.
Despite the fact that this is strictly a rumor, if there’s any substance it would mean we are one step closer to seeing the trio reunite for one more stab at the Scream franchise. What are your thoughts on Scream 5 bringing back our favorite survivors? Are you excited about a chance for more Sidney vs Ghostface?
While i have seen the mentioned articles here at the time of publication i haven’t rushed to publish it here, as its way too early for us fans to start getting just a little bit excited..
Like in 2008/09 it is just early rumors overall here, NOTHING is concrete evidence as of yet regarding the trios return, but IF a fifth film does come our way with original characters then i stand by my overall opinion all along i had regarding Scream 4 in regard to our regular trio!! Which was.. (Put them through hell if necessary, give them fights and scratches and bruises but DONT kill them).
I always said that for Scream 4 if we didn’t have 5 main people then there was no point, those wanted were Wes, Kevin, and the Trio, and thankfully we got it, even if Kevin did depart.. and with another film coming in future i say the same again, just with no Wes, for obvious reason…
Hello again, I’m here this time for various reasons, i wanted some info from RJ Torbert, and not just normal info, something that a lot of fans DONT KNOW… also, in light of recent events happening in New Orleans regarding a drunk bus driver driving into a crowd, i think we see a world in which anything can happen, and would you believe a similar accident happened to RJ and his wife! Yet that is not so ‘common knowledge’ among fans who know of him…. In this world ANYTHING can happen at any time and it actually shows in regards to RJ and Wes Craven too… Wes was pushed closer to RJ even more than ever than before after RJ’s accident, but it was originally re-ignited when Scream 4 came about, but after Scream 4 had died down and left Theaters RJ could continue with his book (The Face of Fear) and eventually it was released, Wes being the kind of man he was requested the book and loved it, so much that he left RJ a comment to use in relation to both books (See back cover of NO MERCY). Im sure RJ was proud and honored to have it there. Following on from that Wes had told RJ about his illness and this saddened RJ greatly, it was also evident that Wes cared too about RJ and his wife Roseann because when RJ informed Wes of the Drunk driver accident they were both in Wes’s contact increased more so by email, As time went on Wes would ask for news on NO MERCY, RJ would inform him of the latest at the time but sadly Wes passed away before getting a chance to read it, Wes passed away on the actual day the book was finished in the editing process. RJ stopped work on the book temporarily to have a page added into the front of the book to show his love and respect for Wes, he thought about what to write in tribute to ‘the master of horror’ and finally the book was ready for print. As you open the NO MERCY book fans will notice that there is a single page for the Wes Tribute.. Its just sad that he didn’t get chance to read it.. However, before Wes passed, and with being in contact more with RJ he shared a true story about something that really happened to him, an incident with somebody who had a GhostFace mask in tow… Its unclear as to what actually happened at this time but Wes had got the chance to take pictures as the event’ unfolded. Wes thought it would be good for RJ to use in his writing, this event is to be the starting point for RJ’s third Powers and Johnson Novel.. Wes had sent the pictures and info for RJ to use, RJ wanted fans to know how much he respected Wes and wanted Wes’s memory to not only be remembered for his movies, but for this too.. this ‘something’ that had happened to him… Info below is from RJ Torbert.
“AS YOU KNOW, WES AND I WERE IN REGULAR COMMUNICATION FOR YEARS ,WHICH INCREASED AT THE BEGINNING OF SCREAM 4. ————-THE COMMUNICATION INCREASED EVEN MORE AFTER MY WIFE AND I WERE ALMOST KILLED IN A CAR ACCIDENT IN LATE SEPTEMBER OF 2013— BY A DRUNK DRIVER. OUR VEHICLE WAS HIT BROADSIDE(T-BONED) BY A LARGE FORD EXPEDITION WHICH CAUSED OUR VEHICLE TO FLIP 3 TIMES OFF THE HIGHWAY AND INTO THE WOODS HITTING A TREE TO STOP IT. BY THE GRACE OF GOD AND OUR SEAT BELTS AND A BRAND NEW CAR, WE NOT ONLY SURVIVED BUT MY WIFE WALKED AWAY. I , HOWEVER HAD TEETH KNOCKED OUT AND MY SHOULDER NEEDED SURGERY. AS MANY OF YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED , I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR DRUNK DRIVERS AND CONTINUE TO REMAIN DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED THAT THE LAWS ARE NOT MORE STRICT. THE YOUNG MAN WHO HIT US WHO BY THE WAY HAD 5 TEENAGERS IN THE CAR ( YES 5) GOT OFF LIGHTLY WITH A LICENSE SUSPENSION AND COMMUNITY SERVICE BECAUSE IT WAS HIS FIRST OFFENSE. A DRUNK DRIVER WHO PUT 7 PEOPLES LIVES IN DANGER AND BY THE WAY WAS UNDERAGE (18) GOT OFF THIS LIGHTLY. EVEN YESTERDAY , ANOTHER 30 PEOPLE WERE INJURED IN NEW ORLEANS BY A DRUNK DRIVER WHO PLOWED THROUGH A CROWD. AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT, IT WAS NOT RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC AND ONLY VERY FEW KNEW ABOUT IT UNTIL WE RECOVERED, WHICH RESULTED IN SHOULDER SURGERY AND 8 MONTHS OF PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR MYSELF. WES, WHO WAS GOING THROUGH HIS OWN STRUGGLES, WAS VERY CONCERNED AND SUPPORTIVE WHICH BROUGHT OUR RELATIONSHIP MORE INTO THE PERSONAL AREA. TO THE POINT OF WHERE WE COMMUNICATED ABOUT MOST ANYTHING TWO –THREES DAYS WEEKLY. DURING THIS PERIOD HE SENT ME A THOUGHT ABOUT A FUTURE PROJECT AND SUPPORTED IT WITH PHOTOS BECAUSE THE EVENT HE DESCRIBED ACTUALLY HAPPEN TO HIM, AND HE SNAPPED A COUPLE PHOTOS WITH HIS CELL PHONE. I THOUGHT IT WAS VERY IRONIC AND ALMOST EERIE THAT AN EVENT INVOLVING THE GHOST FACE MASK HAPPEN TO HIM. THIS OCCURRENCE WILL BE USED IN THE NEXT AND FINAL CHAPTER OF THE POWERS AND JOHNSON TRILOGY BOOK SERIES. MY PLAN IS TO ALSO USE THE PHOTOS THAT WES ACTUALLY TOOK HIMSELF THAT HE GAVE TO ME. IT WILL PROVE THAT HE LIVES ON AND CONTINUES TO GIVE TO HIS FANS . I DO THIS OUT OF MY AFFECTION AND RESPECT FOR WES AND MY DESIRE TO KEEP HIS FANS CONNECTED TO HIS LEGACY. WHILE HIS FILMS WILL KEEP HIS MEMORY ALIVE, I THOUGHT SOMETHING NEW WOULD MAKE HIS FANS VERY HAPPY THAT A SCENE THAT TAKES PLACE IN THE BEGINNING OF THE NEXT POWERS AND JOHNSON NOVEL WAS INSPIRED BY THE TRUE MASTER OF HORROR, WES CRAVEN”
Well, its only back in June 2016 that RJ’s New novel NO MERCY was released and sadly some people THINK that he is just trying to make money off of GhostFace… Yet nothing could be further from the truth! Text below comes from RJ himself…
TIM, as this point, ———-it is also getting a little tiresome about me doing books for profit, ———it seems everyone can work with GHOST FACE ——and make a profit including the studios, however, maybe the few would get quiet if they knew that the profits go to charity causes. I have taken 0 profit. Maybe that will make those skeptics feel better, however, if it makes people feel better, I have never taken a profit from the books, Checks have been issued to various charities. As many know, I originally wrote the Ghost Face Novels to bring it back to the public, A movie had not been done for 10 years. Remember Ghost Face is a big part of my job, and since I wanted to start writing a NOVEL, I combined 2 important things in my life. This was only done with the blessing from Wes , I didn’t need it legally but I respected him enough to want him to be happy with my decision. He was a huge supporter, and even signed copies of THE FACE OF FEAR to show his support. I WILL move on to other projects after the next and final Powers and Johnson Novel. I have even thought about writing a screenplay . As I encourage many every day and in tweets, We should continue to pursue our dreams and what makes us happy. No one should begrudge anyone in working hard and taking a profit should they decide to do so. In my case, I’m blessed to where I can help certain causes we believe in at ENTERTAINMENT 21 CORP from the sale of the books.
I Thank RJ VERY MUCH for his contribution to this article and in giving me the ‘Something fans DONT KNOW’ info i was looking for… I love the honesty he gives us, and the encouragement too!
You can visit the Official Powers and Johnson website HERE!You can also Purchase the Powers and Johnson Novels by Clicking the images of the books below! Links do exist on the Official Website too!
Well, this video came online via Meggy Blaine (A long time fan of Scream and GhostFace) on December 18th 2016… via a tweet she posted… it shows a brilliant collection that’s been built up over many years.. some absolutely gorgeous masks there among other things.. Meggy has some jewels’ in her possession here… including early tagged masks and even a Silver Chrome 25 Year Prototype Mask sent to her by RJ Torbert!
Watch below.. and Enjoy!
Im going back in time a little here with referring to a news article back in January of this year.. but it seems a Scream 5 was more of a non starter for quite a while now, yet some fans seem to still hope for it.
Back in 2010 after Scream 4 was moving along nicely there was plenty of talk (also in 2008 too) about Kevin writing a new trilogy.. Sadly with Scream 4 not doing as hoped for by many of us at the box office we never got a Scream 5, and ended up with only a dodgy crappy TV series instead.. Which is typical really.. anyway.. Back in January (2016) Kevin spoke up again about his thoughts on it, and also briefly mentions Wes Craven too.. Kevin talked to the LATimes and spoke about many things, he also attended a Q&A at a screening celebrating the 20th anniversary of SCREAM… along with Matthew Lillard.
So, to all fans out there that continue to ask about ‘Scream 5’… we now know the answer… it seems likely that this one wont ever happen, yes it was the same with Scream 4… but with the original plans of a new trilogy squashed sometime ago now, and the recent loss of Mr Craven.. we have to say .. Why? .. because Wes and Kevin were two very important elements in the genius mesh that made these films go so well in their structure and production.. Kevin wasn’t as involved as we would have hoped with Scream 4, and i think it shows in the final movie too, just as we did with Scream 3 back in 1999/2000. Where as SCREAM 1 & 2 were more High quality because they were both fully involved in the creative process.

“I know I don’t lean into it or seek it out the way I used to,” he says.
Craven died August 2015 of brain cancer.
“That hit hard,” says Williamson. “You think of your own mortality and your own life. He was such a generous, sweet man, and it all began with him. He was so graceful and generous with me, the way he let me in, in a way in which other directors have never let me in.”
With a “Scream” TV series going into its second season this April on MTV, could the film series go on without Craven?
In 2010, as “Scream 4” was in development with Williamson writing once again, ideas were swirling for fifth and sixth films in the series. The potential of those concepts, however, never came to fruition. Now Williamson gently brushes away the idea of making another film.
“With Wes gone,” he muses, “do we need a ‘Scream 5’?
“The film is so beautiful where it is in my life. I don’t feel the need to go there again.”

Well here we are again then… a little late this year on the date but basically the end of November and start of December resemble the birth of GhostFace.co.uk, all that way back in 2006!
Whilst in the later part of November and start of December many see this as the start of Christmas coming, i tend to ignore that now, and see it as my websites birthday more.. I remember when the site was first in existence as a ‘Proboards forum’ (Which is still online) i remember the fans that did visit saying that IF a ‘SCREAM 4’ was made the must-have characters were always to be Sidney, Dewey and Gale.. otherwise there was no point, the other two key factors always mentioned were Wes and Kevin.. and only around a year and a half after going online the announcement came in July 2008 that the film was finally Green-lighted! The rest is history now! So… here we are now.. in 2015.. and still online.. what has 2015 given us ?!! Some good things, and sadly a major bad thing too!
2015 – Good and Bad
Well, with it being 2015 many of us that also like the ‘Back to the Future’ films saw it as a celebration of the dates that Doc and Marty time traveled to in the Delorean all the way back in 1989! And while Hoverboards DO exist in a capacity, its not as expected, or as they were portrayed in the film is it!
But thats life!
With regards to Scream & GhostFace fans we have a sadder reason now for remembering 2015.. Wes… Whilst the movie worlds of Horror and Thrillers (and sometimes romantic stories) suffers a major loss of a great director… a major loss!! In late August we all go the nasty news that he had sadly passed on… and i saw many things online in relation to this sad loss from fans..
Wes Craven – 1939 – 2015 / the man he was..
From the start of Horror movies in my life i always liked Wes’s work.. Mainly because the first film of his i ever saw that was a horror was SCREAM… for years previous i hated Horror, couldn’t stand it one bit.. i remember going round to friends houses in younger years and seeing their older brothers and sisters watching parts of Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees films.. from the very little i could manage to watch (i was only around 7-8 yrs old at the time) i remember thinking that some killers seemed indestructible, no matter what happened to them they kept coming back, and even as a young child then it put me off Horror.. plus it made me paranoid about walking back home at night! So Wes did so his job right in that respect, i only saw about 5 minutes of a Freddy film and i couldn’t take no more.. I still haven’t watched them until this day!
With regards to meeting Wes though i never did sadly.. i have seen many fans post up pictures of themselves with him and reading how they met him, whether it was in an area he was filming, or at the Scream 4 premiere which was good for them too… but the closest i ever got was only via Twitter, he had Followed me in the last year and actually wished me a happy birthday back in June.. I had heard from RJ Torbert recently after i asked RJ about Wes ever viewing my site.. As far as RJ knew he said he had been on the site here.. So i hope he liked what he saw and read..
One thing i did notice about Wes was what the cast members and many others who worked with him said too.. that being that he was REALLY a good man, a nice man, a sweet man, and not the psycho or mad man that people may have thought of him due to his ability to scare us all in his films.. From what i saw in recent years during Scream 4 being made (and on many DVD extras on the Scream movies) it was true, Wes was a genuine nice man, he was someone who had mastered his craft in the movie world, and remained one hell of a man in normal life, his love of birds and other hobbies shown this throughout some of his online media and interviews and even his own website.. I wont forget the presence on Twitter during Scream 4.. many fans were talking to him whilst he was in between working.. pictures of him on his phone tweeting, or playing Doodle Jump!…. i never did beat the score he put up! One thing i always remember though is the pic he posted of a tired GhostFace! In between takes he snapped a picture of ‘Dane Farwell’ as GhostFace sat on a rooftop.. Poor chap looked knackered! | Pictured Below…
I think Wes knew what he wanted when it came to all the Scream films with the portrayal of Ghostface and all the characters we saw… I will always have him to thank AND all others involved in the making of these SCREAM movies.. They gave me a mask and icon i love! Its mostly shown in this site i think..
Rest in peace to Wes though.. i honestly hope we all go somewhere up above after this life, and if we do, i hope to meet him up there..
2015 for Ghostface
Well, as the year started we got yet another type of mask from Alan Geller, the ‘Smoldering / Eerie Embers’ mask… (Now on the masks page too) .. We also saw the return of more Metallic Ghostface masks.. ordered again by the ‘savers’ store chain..
In this year also GhostFace reached a new age, an age of 24, so next year i hope will see some type of anniversary masks i hope.. as 25 is a milestone for any type of mask! Particular one that’s so well known!
Scream Tv Series – July 2015
Well after much discussion online between fans it finally did show its face to us.. literally… The MTV Scream series made it presence known at the start of July and weeks previously in the form of clips posted on YouTube by the MTV account there.. we saw Trailers and a ‘first 8 minutes’ clip debut.. Some fans hated it, some fans loved it, and some didn’t even bother watching it.. I myself wasn’t too keen after seeing a new mask created for it, but true to my word i did eventually watch every episode to give it a fair chance and to get the story completed…
My verdict was that it was ok but it didn’t have the authentic ‘Scream feel’ to it like we saw in the movies.. and that it was a total different world in some ways in ‘Lakewood’.. i do remember though, reading online that TWC wanted to keep the movie world and Tv Series world separate.. so that gave a reason for a new mask creation… at the end of the day i think the SCREAM name maybe helped it get viewers, but in my opinion it could have been named ANYTHING else in relation to Teens, School life, Mass murders, or psycho killers… the fact it was called ‘SCREAM the tv series’ didn’t make much difference to me.. i know of fans from the movies who think of the series as non existent because it doesn’t come close to the quality of the films..
Whilst there is positive and negative points on the series there was a green light for a second series.. time will tell as to what happens and if the ‘Brandon James’ mask reappears…
Arnold Scream – the end of an era.
Well.. as time went on from me creating this site in late 2006 i had always wanted to put my old video footage online for anyone to see… as time went on we had many trailers and fan films go online.. it was originally known between friends in it as ‘Scream filming’ and later got the name of ‘Arnold Scream’ as many of us were from, or lived in Arnold at the time of making the clips, all of the time it was view-able i made it clear that it wasn’t anything serious and was all for fun.. anyone that has seen the films will know this because the acting is bad.. its just friends messing about with a GhostFace mask, thats it..!! The website for the films came along on December 7th 2009… and was there for people to read details and see locations for what we were doing in the films.. the last ever footage i did for the films was back in June 2010.. and since then the site remained online for anyone interested to view.. now though its up for renewal but im letting it go… it was always there for a temporary period anyway, and this year i thought it had been online long enough.. it expired on December 7th 2015 and will no doubt be gone very soon after this post is read by some.. the clips on YouTube will remain (mostly trailers) otherwise its off to the Internet Archive site to view the site in previous years.. I have added a trailer below of the first film which i think sums up the basic description of Arnold Scream.. that being one of friends having fun with GhostFace.. and in this trailer that’s exactly what you see!
Well, that’s it for now… I hope you all have a good Christmas and Happy New Year!
Until January.. See you later!
One of the most nasty things a website owner has to do is post up about someone leaving us, a hell of a man sadly passing away… today we lost Wes… we all as fans knew how we all wanted him to direct our favourite films.. and even though after 10 years of not seeing GhostFace on the big screen, Wes returned and made us all happy we knew he was the one we all wanted to make Ghostface and ‘SCREAM’ live again..
I never got to meet him but ill always wish i did… this man was a great powerful force in what he did, R.I.P Wes…
Today’s news comes via ‘HelloSidney.com‘ Rodrigo Kurtz, this being news on mr Craven, who is going to be producing a SCREAM-Inspired movie, called ‘The Girl in the photographs’… its early stages as of yet and casting is in progress.. but lets see what happens in future, could be good.. Click banner for FULL ARTICLE!
The company’s first project is “The Girl in the Photographs” with horror icon Wes Craven executive producing and Craven’s protege Nick Simon (writer of “The Pyramid”) directing. Chung will produce with Thomas Mahoney; Brandon M. Vayda and Krystal Tiffany Vayda will executive produce alongside Craven and Alghanim.
The film is inspired by the “Scream” franchise and set against the backdrop of the fashion world.
In recent time since way past Scream 4 had left Theaters we have heard on and off on a few occasions about a so called ‘SCREAM TV SERIES’… on past occasions we have heard about various things saying that Wes Craven would direct it, that Fun World have heard nothing of the GhostFace mask being enquired about its use in it..
After a while you just dont know what to think anymore, and today we have another new headline, this time from Bloody Disgusting.com , and TVLine.. the new info saying that a writer called Jill Blotevogel has a screenplay ready, and casting will be underway soon, and again that Wes will direct.. and as said before in previous old news that Summer 2014 is the Due date.. The yellow text below is from the article, Click the banner for the full read!
There is also info there based on some new characters.. NOT to my liking so far.. Give us SCREAM 5!!!
I’m told that Craven will actually be directing the pilot(!) this summer from a screenplay by Jill Blotevogel. Our source explains that the “rules” of slasher movies is at the center of this new series, as it has been for the franchise. The pilot explores a YouTube video that has gone viral and causes problems for the protagonist, Audrey, who is caught in the middle of murder and the town’s troubled past.
Hello again, today we have some different news involving the Hyaena Art Gallery, mostly known by fans from 2011 back when art from Scream 4 had been featured there, along with many other great pieces of memorabilia.. this time we have paintings based on Wes Cravens Legacy… All sorts of art work here from Freddy Krueger to GhostFace, and even Shocker! … To check it out please click the main banner… Two pieces of work are below.. by a chap named ‘Chogrin’ in this case.. some good stuff alright… Very creative.. Click For FULL Size!
UPDATE: Didnt notice them before, but about just past halfway down the page there are now two other items, a ‘Dummy Book’ Scream 4 prop (Out of Darkness) signed by Neve Campbell, and also a mask (NOT SCREEN USED) signed by Wes Craven and Neve Campbell too! Both with COA’s… Book = $100 , Mask = $175
