465037024

This is what you see when you are in new york looking at our building… Said RJ via Twitter!

A few days ago RJ Torbert Tweeted something i had been waiting for… The fact that the new trademark to be linked with GhostFace® had gone through!!

“YOU are the first to know publicly,-THE ICON OF HALLOWEEN® is officially a REGISTERED TRADEMARK of FUN WORLD. webmasters take NOTE.”

Followed by………..

“GHOST FACE is now forever linked, as THE ICON OF HALLOWEEN® twitter followers are the first to know.
happy friday. R.J.”

November 29th 2011: 5 years later….

Well, many may remember a similar image from last year saying we were “4” years old! , i remember ripping the “4” from the Scream 4 trailer screen cap i got… Well, here we are, another year later.. now 5 years old!

Some of what i write here may sound similar already to last years post, but here we go anyway…

Being 5 years old and looking at the stats its not hard to see this place is strongly viewed by many a fan and internet user, Stats may be just be numbers to many and not always mean a lot but here im happy with the attention we get! So what will be going on in the future??

Well, the site at the time has 2 versions of itself, one is always being played about with and tested in its other format, and this version is sometimes played with, as you may notice with background images changing here and there from time to time! (Sorry for that, but im too fussy with main backgrounds).. i try to stick to what i think are Scream and GhostFace® related colours.. which i think at this time is about right!

What else then you say?!!

Well, im always on the lookout for more new software on major site add-ons, i still await a nice new forum software from some developer out there, i also still want to learn FLASH too, but overall i think the site is nice to peruse and read through at this time, ive never been 100% happy with the forum but thats life, some boards are busy, others just arent! .. A lot of customization goes into this site but sadly forum-wise it doesn’t get what it deserves.. not the end of the world though.

What else then?? Anything?

Well, nothing major i know of yet, i hope a Scream 5 arrives in the future sometime, and i hope Kevin is mainly, if not fully behind the scribes pen again, same with the crew and cast, Wes, David, Neve, and Courteney are all wanted back, but i wouldn’t want them to be killed off.. Give out some harsh beatings if needed but i wouldn’t like to see any of the main trio die, the minute that starts happening its isn’t SCREAM… These characters give the feel of the movies, same with GhostFace®, if the main cast changed it would be like another film.

Back to the site, with regards to new content i am in progress of adding major mask facts to the mask page, thus helping fans identify a type of mask, many masks have their own certain mold marks and are known of by fans, some can be almost impossible to see differences for various reasons.. many fans know the certain eye shapes and nose differences, other types are worlds apart, like the solid masks, (Color Changing, Bleeding, Flip up, Kids masks).

The main mask types being concentrated on are the Fantastic, Fearsome, ASIS Tag mask, EU types, and the later version masks bearing the early familiar Black and Red “GhostFace®” tags… also the latest versions will be compared to past versions, like the “Ultra White, Walgreens, Deluxe, and Horror Nights masks!

Since starting my site i thought i knew a lot of trivia on masks and films but i have learnt a LOAD of new info since arriving online! Some just in recent months, i look forward to learning more in the future with the aid of fans and this site and of course RJ and Fun World giving us GhostFace® for years to come!
Rest assured as long as im here ill always keep this place going! It may go through many a change and we may see a few more films and even masks in that time, but we will have to all still go online to find out first!

Thanks for reading.
GhostFace® (Tim Wagstaff)

November 29th 2011 : A Few Mask Facts to share…

Ok, first off, Hello again, the site hasn’t had an update for just over a month but this place is NEVER forgotten, i check this every day to see all is ok and on the forum too.. another thing i check out most the time is EBay..

Sadly many CRAPPY NON FW versions of the mask still exist but as reported previously we hope they will be gotten rid of in the future.. now, onto the main part.. there are certain Ebayer’s out there who would, and actually DO write anything to make a gullible person who doesn’t know masks well buy what they think is something special..

With reference to what i mean is the new 2011 “Ultra White” (as described by many a fan) masks.. These have a few nice characteristics… firstly, and most obvious, these are a bright white shiny vinyl, the mouths are matt black, the back of the chin is “Stampless”, the stamp is there on the inside of the mask to the diagonal top left of the left eye.. they also have an elastic strap inside… shrouds are the normal black stretchy material we have seen for many years now on previous versions.. NOT LIMITED in number these masks.. many a store and EBay seller have had these types over the last few months.. The seller on EBay describes these as “Ultra Hero” version, that he/she describes as the same production mold used in Scream 4’s “Hero” masks.. NOT TRUE!!

It also ISNT another “Collectors edition” of the mask.. and isn’t RARE as Hens Teeth! Many stores worldwide have these masks.. if buying off ebay always try and ask questions first about EXACTLY what you are getting..

Some sellers may have old tagged stock like the purple ASIS tag, aka 97 tag mask.. others would have new stock, remember it doesn’t cost anything to ask questions, if they dont reply then obviously they dont care too much about selling items, or are just plain bloody ignorant!! Sadly some are… Be careful out there, and remember that if it sounds too good to be true it normally is!! A smooth chin GhostFace® mask ISNT rare! Not in this case! Just make sure all purchased masks are FUN WORLD made and dont pay over the odds for what is a normal run mask! The seller in mind ALWAYS put his banter in huge fonts normally in RED, some are currently in a Blue colour.. STAY AWAY…

September 28th 2011: Wes talks about Scream 5 !!

UPDATED: Wes has also spoken with other sites since this original news posting..
CLICK HERE for an interesting article on DreadCentral!

For a short while we havent heard off Wes, mainly due to having a nice summer vacation and sorting out other things like a new house being built and a comic series and he is due to give a talk about Fear on October 14th in Chicago… Shocktillyoudrop caught up with him, You can read up what he says by clicking the headline banner, Another site with info is MOVIEHOLE and MOVIEWEB! … BloodyDisgusting also have an article!

Quote from MovieWeb article below..

“Yes. The odds are that there will be (a Scream 5). It is something that Bob Weinstein wants to do. He tends to do what he wants to do. So I am inclined to think that there will be (another sequel). Whether I will be a part of it or not? I don’t know. My contract gives me the first look. If they show me something that is really wonderful? Of course I will be a part of it.”

September 23rd 2011: Promotional Sightings-GhostFace® Video!

September 4th 2011: GhostFace® Deluxe Masks Listed for Halloween

Well its getting near the preferred time of year for myself at least.. Halloween!!! Only a few more weeks left now.. and already we are seeing many items of merchandise appear, GhostFace® invades America pretty well in this way but UK dont always have the luck of the Americans.. we have to hunt seriously to find our “GhostFace® Booty” im afraid, but its all worth it in the end..

On my forum today a member called “GhostFace0095” posted up links to masks i want.. Deluxe version.. and Deluxe Zombie.. New to us all now when it comes to actually owning them, some lucky people have won Deluxe versions already, including myself, But anyway, if you want to order one of the pictured masks then click each mask on the image as its “Hyperlinked” letting me have a link for each mask!

August 24th 2011: Scream 4 Released to UK on DVD and Blu Ray!

Well, finally after over ten years of waiting the fans here in the UK can now go out and buy the film on Blu Ray or DVD.. as nice as it is to be able to obtain it before other countries we do have the major setback here as reported in earlier headlines… NO special behind the scenes footage,Gag reel, Commentary from Wes, Neve, Hayden and Emma! No Alternate beginning or longer ending… I wait until October 4th at least to see if a newer version arrives for us overseas! For now though.. Get out there and buy the film! Ive got mine after a late night visit to ASDA!

On seeing the movie once only i did notice slight differences, it appears that we may have the PPV version of the film with little bits of added dialogue here and there to say the least!

July 13th 2011: A GhostFace® Figure that ISN’T authorized by Fun World…

It seems that many people/companies these days think they can get away with murder when it comes to GhostFace, luckily we have RJ Torbert to take control and issue advice to us webmasters and the like to warn us of these people who take or use the GhostFace® name and create something to try and sell to us without permission.. this time the company is Asmus Toys..

An unauthorized figure is listed on their site and they have been contacted about this, in the meantime we ask that loyal fans of the REAL GhostFace® stay away from it and resist purchasing or trying to purchase one of these figures, although if you do see the figures pictures you will see that the accuracy isn’t good at all, unlike the NECA figure which is authorized in which we should be seeing the full plastic version arriving soon! Remember, if it isn’t authorized by Fun World then it isn’t really GhostFace®,no matter what the listing title! Only buy OFFICIAL AUTHORIZED MERCHANDISE.

April 22nd 2011: Fun world/Easter Unlimited on CNN.

Alan Geller and Stanley Geller from Fun world/Easter Unlimited on CNN.

I dont see many videos of news like this often, this is from April 8th and shows the mask in various forms as Allen and Stanley Geller talk GhostFace® and briefly on its back story…
Its Good to see clips like this, it lets us see how the company works, and not only on GhostFace items.
While we dont see RJ Torbert, it is still an interesting clip!
Enjoy the video! Thanks to Steffen who linked to the video originally!
