Hello, all week RJ Torbert has been tweeting hints at a special guest making an appearance at the upcoming Texas Frightmare Weekend.. which is from May 1st – 3rd, as you can see from the image Skeet Ulrich himself will be there, or ‘Billy Loomis’ as most of us fans think of him.. Grab your memorabilia and run i say.. as it has been mentioned that masks and the like can be signed.. not only is Skeet there though, but also announced a short while back was Neve Campbell who will be making her first ever convention appearance.. so while for us in the uk it may be quieter, its all good for those in the USA who can make it.. go and enjoy while the chance is there!

How many times could you meet Billy Loomis and Sidney Prescott under one roof?

The Texas Frightmare website is HERE!!

Check out Skeet’s video on Facebook HERE!

January 12th 2015: SCREAM 5 Part 1 and 2!

s5p1and2wpHello again… Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year… the New Year starts with what i think is a NEW Rumour! Over at ‘Moviepilot’ there are reports of SCREAM 5 being a two part film, they state how that in the past Wes Craven said he was down for SCREAM 5 and 6 if the fourth film did good enough, and we all know from Twitter info that Kevin Williamson has a SCREAM 5 ready… but it doesn’t sound like the version they have in mind to use.. Info from Moviepilot’s article below… Click banner for FULL Article! …. Me, well im not sure on this… the SCREAM films have always just stuck with progressing numbers in the titles, so why not just a 5 and 6.. ???

All right all of you Scream fans if you were exited about the upcoming MTV Scream series then you’ll be happy for this news. A recent rumors has leaked to the internet saying that a fifth and final Scream film is coming in 2016 and will be set in two parts with part two coming in 2017.

April 15th 2014: SCREAM 5 Dead?!

For a long time there has been the odd chatter about the SCREAM TV series, and even less chat about SCREAM 5, in recent time Neve Campbell appeared in TV series ‘Mad Men’ and recently answered questions from ‘The Daily Beast’ about it, in those questions SCREAM 5 was mentioned, as far as Neve is concerned, she thinks its DEAD at this time…

Part of the interview below.. Click HERE for full article! (Credit to Rodrigo of ‘HelloSidney.com’ for the article)

I grew up with a lot of your films, and movies like Scream still hold up so well. Have you ever received a bad prank phone call?

No, I haven’t! I haven’t, weirdly. I unfortunately had some stalkers during that time but no weird prank calls. Although Halloween is always fun because I’ll be at the door handing out candy and someone will come by in a Scream mask. It’s just an easy costume, now. I’ll just be Ghostface!

Are we going to see another Scream film?

I don’t think we’ll see it again. I know they’re doing a TV show for MTV that I just read about, but originally they’d talked about Scream 4 being the beginning of another trilogy, but once we made it, it was such a challenge to do a good job with it, give the audience what they wanted, have it be fresh, and have it still retain the elements from the older movies people loved so much. I think we did a good job with it, but I don’t know if you can do it again and again and again. We’d be pushing it. So I think they’re smart with just doing a TV show and leaving it alone.

October 2nd 2013: Small Scream 5 Update (UPDATED)

When it comes to news on Scream 5 it has been basically unheard of for a while, last thing i remember was seeing Kevin Williamson tweet about having a script completed yet nobody wanted it he said..
The latest we hear now is that Harvey Weinstein is pressing his brother Bob to get Scream 5 made so it can be ended once and for all, so cancel out all hopes for a second trilogy, there wont be a Scream 6!

Text below is from Indiewire.com – FULL ARTICLE here..

He’s urging his brother to make “Scream 5” happen.

Weinstein said that he’s urging his brother Bob, who heads Dimension Films, to make “Scream 5” happen. “Everyone lived in ‘Scream 4,” he said. “I’m begging him to do the movie and just end it. We’ve milked that cow.”

(UPDATED October 4th) From ok, to worse…

I was (as a Scream and Ghostface fan) willing to give a TV series at least a ‘Look-in’ when the time came for its debut on the small screens, but now a new recent development has popped up which just makes it too daft to believe or add into the series… It seems that a ‘Super Natrual’ element will exist in the show.. My God, what next?… the ONLY good thing is that it seems the films and series wont be directly linked or overlapped..

Bloody Disgusting have a report online HERE…
(Rodrigo Kurtz of HelloSidney.com posted the news via twitter originally, thanks to him for alerting us all)

Weinstein told the Zurich Film Festival audience that there’s no overlap between the series and film franchise, adding that the series “is supposed to represent a new beginning and also pursue a supernatural direction.”

Here we are again, in a similar position to a last year.. NOTHING on a SCREAM 5 and a Scream TV show mentioned again which is NOT what the majorority of fans want according to my poll on the forum.. anyway, Wes was recently at the SXSW film festival mainly for his comic book project with Steve Niles.. Whilst there he chatted with many including JoBlo.com… Click HERE for FULL article in which Scream 5 is mentioned.
News headline was alerted to me by R.Suttles whilst on Skype!

January 18th 2013: Old parts of the original SCREAM 3 used for ‘The Following’

Hello again, in recent time we have seen Kevin Williamson’s new TV series ‘The Following’ start to appear more on internet and such, whilst many keep calling this the ‘other’ version of ‘SCREAM 5’ it appears that it is wrong to say that! In a recent report from EW it seems that ‘Following’ is in fact a recycled version of SCREAM 3 that Williamson had about. Williamson had wanted to do ‘Following’ since SCREAM times..
Click Banner for FULL article..

“In my original story for Scream 3 [Ehren Kruger was brought in to write the threequel after Williamson exited], the killers were basically a fanclub of Woodsboro kids that had formed because of Stab 1 and Stab 2,” he tells me. “They were all doing the killings and the big surprise of the movie was when Sidney walked into the house after Ghostface had killed everyone … and they all rose up. None of them were actually dead and they’d planned the whole thing.”

It has been a while since SCREAM 5 has been in the immediate news and even this is still ‘small potatoes’ as we say… I saw an article linked via John Valeri on Facebook… Neve being interviewed about her appearance on Grey’s Anatomy’ , in the interview questions we see SCREAM 5 mentioned.. For FULL ARTICLE click banner!

Any chance of there being a Scream 5?

CAMPBELL: We’ll see. I’m not sure they’re going to make it, to be honest. If that were to come up again and they were to approach me, I’d have a chat with them about it.

June 14th 2012: Marielle Jaffe Tweets back, New Version mask… Various Tidbits..

Well its been a while since any new Scream 5 news came about and to be honest im not holding my breath for the meantime, it looks as though we need a damn good writer and even if found the fans may disagree with the choice.. myself included. It looks as though there is more on a ‘Scary Movie 5’ than a Scream 5..

What else then??

Well recently i tweeted to Marielle Jaffe and got a response.. below..

@MarielleJaffe Hi Marielle, how’s about a ‘Hello’ to the uk’s Ghostface site!? 🙂 I know you and Ghostface didn’t get on, but please.. 😉

To which i got a response.. ‘@Ghostfacecouk Oh so NOW you wanna be friends?? haha Hi Ghostface and everyone in the UK!! Sending bloody Olivia hugs your way! :)) ‘

The conversation continued a little.. see my Twitter link for more and go to the date May 27th..

In other news us fans still wonder what’s around the corner for Ghostface, for a long time now RJ has kept up his cryptic tweets and has spoke of a big ‘project’ thats going on.. a possible announcement around late June or early July could see us all being told what it is exactly and put us all at ease. Only time will tell.

Also… something i should have mentioned a short while back when ‘Steffen’ told me about this.. (Deadraofficial on Twitter) yes, another new version mask.. this time ‘GhostFace Mummy’ …
Looks to be a fabric mask instead of the latex rubber.. only recently released and not many online at this time, on Ebay there are some listed but the postage is sadly too high just for one mask.. $35 too high.. then you add the price of the mask on to that!! Shocking to say the least.. the mask is on Fun World’s new site in the costumes category. The mask will be added to the mask page in the very near future.

And a small update… just in now.. After just speaking with RJ he told me he had been getting questions about the recent TV Series of Scream.. i post below his quote he sent to me..

“I’ve been asked many times in regard to the proposed T V series that was in media recently, I can confirm to U that Fun World has not been Approached or contacted as of this date and if Ghost Face were to be used–obviously , they would need our approval”. R J

So there we have it for those that wondered about it.. Straight from the man himself.. so at this time the TV series of SCREAM’ is just as it was when first reported.. Thanks to RJ for the info! Much Appreciated!

Thanks for reading.. Tim

March 1st 2012: Scream 5 wont be from Kevin Williamson it seems!

Well, finally something on Scream 5, only small and extremely brief because i saw HelloSidney.com just before writing this… so credit to Rodrigo’ over there really for adding the news first, Credit where its due.

So, whats the latest, well, at first we were all knowing that Kevin was on board for a fourth and fifth film originally, now it seems he isn’t on for a fifth.. i just hope he has given something for an idea to TWC so he has some sort of small influence on a future Scream movie.. The info came from an interview with AssignmentX.com that the following was revealed… FULL ARTICLE HERE
(I have no idea where ‘Generations’ came from).

AX: Can you say anything about SCREAM 5: GENERATIONS?

WILLIAMSON: I don’t know. I’m not doing it.

So, yet again, like with Scream 3, the fans dont get what they want in FULL at least.. As a webmaster and a fan of the films i dont know the full circumstances of why we are not getting Kevin back, we may never know the full truth, then again we may in a few years if some random site interviews him, but remember that the man is extremely busy these days, The Vampire Diaries, Secret Circle, and now he’s got Kevin Bacon as a main character in the new Serial killer drama to arrive in the near future.. something he has been wanting to do since SCREAM back in 1996.

All i can say is that without Williamson’s pen the Scream movies do lack some magic, Look at Scream 1 and 2, both MEGA, good earners, Scream 3 did good, and Scream 4 was very entertaining, i just wish we could have a FULL script off him like with the first two films. When it comes to writers this chap is sorely missed! He helped create what Scream movies became just like the GhostFace® mask and Wes and all cast and crew, with a little bit of magic gone in Williamson it IS noticed by us loyal fans.
