An EXCLUSIVE Interview with RJ Torbert Of Fun World.
Ghostface.co.uk Interviews the man behind licensing at Fun World,Mr.RJ Torbert, essentially the man who has a major “Button” on all things GhostFace®. It is very rare to catch him with some time available and we are very glad we did, Recently RJ has been teasing us Scream fans with his Tweets based around GhostFace® and Scream 4, and i’m happy to say that we have some answers below from him.

1) On one of your recent tweets, you mentioned you have the script for everything GHOST FACE says in the movie. Can you elaborate?

All I can tell you right now, is we are working on something special in association with the WEINSTEIN company.

2) You also mentioned , that October 5th was a special day, and to remind you in a couple months,

Yes, I think it was special, it was a first for something, however, I still can’t inform you at this time, it will come out in due course.

3) The question of the additional Mask’s stays alive as to whether they will be in the movie or not?

The trail of what happen with the ZOMBIE AND SCARECROW masks was accurately portrayed in the SFE interview. They had them on set, however, I really don’t know if they will appear or not, it is a mystery, and quite frankly I’m happy I don’t know if they will be in or not, this way I don’t have to put “spin” on it. even if they were filmed, it doesn’t mean they would not be edited out. so WHO KNOWS? is the answer.

4) It seems you are enjoying the cryptic messages to the fans on twitter, Are you?

Yes, I must admit, that I never imagined, that I would come to like and even get to know some of the people on twitter. Most are good people, fun people who are passionate about likes and dislikes, they also know I have a job to do with responsibilities and there is a limit to my messages, they respect it, and I respect them, I think its been a good relationship to date. I really enjoy them which is why some things have been given away. I know its these fans on twitter that would really appreciate them, and take care of them. I’m also so impressed with the Web Masters of HelloSidney, ScreamTrilogy, and SFE. And of course, the work that you do with your site.

5) Are you in regular contact with the Weinstein Company?

Yes, I am, our relationship is very good, and I think that will be good for everyone especially those who love SCREAM/Ghost Face.

6) You showed the GOLD SCREAM GHOST FACE bust IN YOUR lobby, is there anything else in the lobby that the FANS would find interesting?

The Gold Ghost Face Bust is under Glass in our lobby, and yes, there are some other things the fans would find interesting, at the top of the stair way FRAMED POSTERS of the all the SCREAM MOVIES, as Well as Scary Movie, also, going up the stairs, is the 8 FT poster of GHOST FACE, framed and signed by WES CRAVEN to FUN WORLD, YOU may remember when SCREAM 4 was announced, Wes Craven released a photo of him and Kevin Williamson holding the top of the 8ft poster, this was a gift to him from FUN WORLD, here are the first ever pictures of them released to the public.

7) On a serious note there was a recent posting on sites regarding the lack of involvement of Fun World with Scary Movie, was this accurate?

First of all, there were only 3 people at the meetings with MIRAMAX /Dimension from Fun World, regarding SCARY MOVIE and they were intensive, those 3 people were myself, Alan geller, and Stanley geller, we are the only ones that know all the details of our involvement. I will say this, We were very involved, for obvious reasons, in fact, I’m sure most will remember, the original Ghost Face had a quick cameo by the tree in the film, without going into details, there is a reason for most things happening. I still have the original MOLDS of the spoof masks still in my office, maybe some day , I will post them on twitter, but I want everyone to focus on the future, and the EXCITEMENT surrounding SCREAM 4.

8) Any surprises in store?

Life would not be fun, it there were not any surprises

9) How is the NECA Ghost Face Figure looking?

Great, they did a nice job with it, I think the GENERAL consumer will love it, and I expect the Hardcore critics to be happy with it. They put a lot of work into it. They are a good group of people over there.

10) You have mentioned a few times in your tweets about Heroes, care to add to that?

Nothing except , to quote RALPH WALDO EMERSON, and that is ‘A hero is no braver than an ordinary person, except he is braver for 5 minutes longer”
