Scream 5 and 6 director(s)

Postby Devils_Reject » Mon Aug 17, 2009 2:13 pm

Well we know that Kevin is developing a new trilogy which is awesome, but if Wes does sign on for Scream 4 I seriously doubt he would sign on for 5 and 6, they're very few directors which direct an entire franchise and Wes doesn't seem like the type to do that but maybe depending on the script quality he could well do it as it is a new trilogy with a new story. Yeah I know this is thinking way too far ahead in the future :D but we're all excited for Scream 4 so why not be excited for 5 and 6? lol. Personally I don't know who could direct a Scream movie other than Wes, it's a strange image... Any ideas?

I Would'nt be suprised if another director took it on IF wes refused, you know what directors are like these days, they re-make almost every film that was made before the year 2000

I was thinking what about the guy who did The Strangers? It was a decent film, so many cliches in it though and predictable in places but it was quite tense overall.

i rekon if wes does'nt direct 4, 5 & 6 he might just work on them, maybe a producer or a co-writer or anything sort. because he only made the first nightmare on elm street and he worked on a few others.

Yeah I agree, I can't see Wes sitting out completely considering how big the first three films were.

I think he was just clearing up the rumor at the time,i hope that the next MAJOR headlines for Scream 4 will be OFFICIAL news that Wes will go back again.

I'll try to find the source but I read somewhere in an interview with Wes where he was asked about the the this trilogy and would he direct. His response was something on the lines of that he is signed on for 4,5, and 6. It all of course depends on the success of Scre4m.

I like you don't like to get too far ahead.

i think it would be better if there is only one director for the rest of the episode of it.

so that there is consistency for the director.

and besides the previous Scream well good movies.

I agree. Scream wouldnt feel right without Wes. Provided all goes well with Scream 4, i dont see why he would say no to 5 and 6.

i would still watch the sequels and probably enjoy them but the thing that most amazing for me with s4 was the fact that wes and kevin and neve courtney and david were all back. I think this is why the film hasnt been a flop, because original cast and crew doing what they do best.

I feel the only reason Scream 4 was any good was because kevin wrote it ans wes directed it!!...and you CANT have anyone else play 'Sidney', 'Gale' or 'Dewey'
