Scream 4 Facts so far..
1.Cameos have been offered to David Arquette,Courteney Cox Arquette,and Neve Campbell. NONE have been confirmed as being onboard yet.
2.Wes Craven has'nt said No,but it will take a pretty good script to get him back.
3.Kevin Williamson is writing a draft at present time and as Wes says "He can work fast or slow" Nothing is known on his ideas as of yet and apparently he wasnt too keen at first on doing a Scream 4.
4.Michael T Kennedy still hasnt heard anything from the weinsteins stating whether he's going to be involved or not with Scream 4.
5.Rumors a short while back suggested that Lindsay Lohan and Winona Ryder were going to be involved in Scream 4,NONE of this was true and was not confirmed at the time.
6.Jamie Kennedy said a while back that the Weinsteins wanted him back and that we would see "Faces we would'nt believe" Again,NONE of this is 100% confirmed.
7.This will be a younger version of the SCREAM movies.
8.Scream 4 is a "Reboot or Restart" meaning another Sequel refreshing the franchise,NOT A REMAKE.
9.The movie is expected to start production in late 2009/early 2010.
10. On june 3rd 2009 headlines hit the web saying by "Some sites" SCREAM is being Remade! This ISNT the case,(See fact 8)
Kevin Williamson confirmed "Via Twitter" that Scream 4 is a "Restart of the franchise" meaning Scream 4 is the first of a new trilogy.
So a Scream 5,6 will follow. |

It's fair to call Wes Craven, the director of A Nightmare on Elm Street and the Scream series, something of a horror movie icon. A remake of his first film, 1972's highly-controversial The Last House On The Left, is out in cinemas this Friday. While speaking to Craven about the new Last House (more on that soon), we quizzed him about the future of the Scream franchise.
What's the status with Scream 4 at the moment? Are we going to see you direct it?
“Bob Weinstein (The Weinstein Company co-chairman) has talked to me, he's interested in me directing it. I had a brief conversation with Kevin [Williamson], I know that Kevin is writing. What I've said to Bob is I'm not closed to it, I'm not open to it, I'll be perfectly happy to read a script and tell him what I think. That's where it's at and I'm not expecting a script until August. I don't know what the premise is or anything."
Do you know what form it's taking? The word 'reboot' has been used.
"I don't think it's a reboot and Kevin, when he talked to me, said, 'Remember, it's not just Scream 4, it's Scream 5 and 6. So I guess he has a trilogy in mind."
It's looking like the Arquettes are coming back. Do you know if Neve Campbell will be returning?
"I've been told, and I don't think they'll mind if I say this, the deals on David Arquette and Courteney are virtually set. I believe everybody else will be new."
You satirised the horror genre with the original Scream trilogy. Is there a danger that it'll either lose its edge or fall into self-parody the more films you make?
"There are a host of dangers in making more films. We have a saying in the United States, 'Jump the shark'. You don't want to do that, you don't want to drive it into the ground. You're avoiding those kind of dangers, hopefully, making the kind of film that has self-awareness from the characters where they're talking about film. I'm sure you can run that into the ground very quickly. I don't have a clue what Kevin is writing. He might be completely going around me, I don’t know."
Were you flattered or annoyed by the Scary Movie series poking fun at Scream?
"I laughed but it was also annoying because somebody used my very shots and I didn't have any financial participation in it! It was less than a year after we'd finished Scream 3 that that came out. You just have to keep moving in Hollywood because somebody will be right on your heels making parodies of what you've just done.

I contacted Michael T Kennedy a Couple of weeks back and put this on my forum,sorry i forgot to put it here on the main site!
Below are Michaels Words of what he's been doing since talking to us last.
No new news on Scream 4 as far as I know other than Kevin is penning a draft. A friend that knows people at Dimension does not know anything else either and he usually has details for me.
I just finished shooting the first 4 episodes of my new web series HOT AS HELL and look for that around the web June 1.
I also wrapped production on a short film I co-wrote and executive produced called WHO ARE YOU? That should be available later this month.
Right now I am working on pre-production on a horror film called CHASING FATE. I wrote and will produce. A talented up and coming director by the name of Eric Mark Fischer is directing (he also directed my short). Actress Monique LaBarr will star and produce as well. And we recently cast Anthony Camapnello in the male lead. We are in the process of securing funding for a summer shoot in my home state of Ohio. know of any funders???? hahahaha |

Small Personal Update: Recent news on the Scream 4 front has been in dribs and drabs and still nothing has been confirmed on Kevin Williamson penning another trilogy. Wes Craven has been around alot latey due to the fact that "Last house on the left" is out very soon,also he is busy with 25/8 too. But a recent report on Bloody Disgusting.com has given me reason to think that he may be attracted to "Other Projects" if Kevin doesnt deliver a great script that impresses.. what he says is below..
BD: Speaking of script issues, you said that you’d come back to Scream 4 if you liked the script; what would YOU like to see for a fourth film?
Wes: I don’t even know if I’m supposed to talk about it. There was some initial contact, “is Wes interested?” and I basically said “Look it’s all contingent on the script.” It doesn’t make any sense for me to go back and just do a Scream 4 for whatever reason.
BD: So it has to be more than a guy in a ghost mask killing a new group of people.
Wes: Yeah. If it’s something innovative like the first one was, then I’m interested. But I also have a lot of other things I’m interested in, so it just depends.
BD: Would you ever want to write one yourself?
Wes: I’d rather do something that was wholly my own. That’s always going to be Kevin’s baby. It’s better for me, smarter, as an artist to develop my own material. Unless someone brings a script to me that I think is pretty terrific and I can focus on the directing.
Personally i think if the Script doesnt deliver then we may lose Wes for Scream 4,At the end of the day i dont think he would want to be known as a "Has been" if Scream 4 was to suck.. Im sure he would pursue other projects that are new,fresh and that he can make something good out of them,just like he has done with 25/8,he wrote it himself and he and his wife worked together on it too,i just hope Kevin gives us a good Script as he did with Scream. |

Its Amazing isnt it! Im normally ignored by some sites for reasons i dont know when it comes to Scoops or possible news i find,Yesterday (Feb 23rd) i went to IMDB to check the Scream 4 board for new threads,i found one, "Scream 4 5 6 Confirmed" It said, i noticed NO links and NO PROOF whatsoever,thinking it was the normal BS we see and hear these days on some sites and forums i asked for Proof in some form,i got a response in the form of a Screen Capture.. This capture said that Kevin Williamson's agency "The William Morris Agency" had closed a deal with the weinsteins for him to write a new trilogy meaning that Scream 4 would be starting it off. After submitting my find to Moviehole i then discover that 2 other Sites have the info too,Either they saw the same thread and posted it or saw it on MH and posted up the news for everyone to see also,At the end of the day it doesnt really matter as long as the fans get a chance to see it,but it does Pee me off when i find something and send it to major sites and they dont take me serious either because im just a little crappy fansite or because they want the glory of getting a scoop! Welcome to Gale Weathers World back in Scream and Scream 2!! The REAL SCOOPER is the IMDB user though, SO Thanks to "BTMalinowski" from IMDB boards. Also BIG Thanks to Clint at MovieHole for not putting me in the "Shitty Fansite that talks crap and isnt important in any way" Category.
Also the time posted on ROS is late at night and not long after i posted my link and headline,so for once,im glad to have found something first! YES!! |

The Scream 4 Cinema Plan. |
How many times do you see Scream 2? Whether watching your own DvD or on Tv or even the old video?! Surely most fans must love the thought of going into the cinema just like at the start of Scream 2. Imagine looking all around you and seeing mostly Scream killers! I think it would be brilliant,sitting down to watch Scream 4 with the costume on and people not knowing whos next to them.sure, it may get hot in the mask,you may even take it off shortly after the film starts,but im sure it would be priceless to walk in a Screen and see Killers everywhere,i did do this once years ago when Scream 3 came out and when Scary Movie was released too,its an amazing feeling when you walk towards the seats and as you turn to face everyone they all cheer. |

The Basic Plan |
Because this website is based in Nottingham in the UK,obviously the main plan will be based here,a cinema is in mind and hopefully they will be ok with it,as i said,ive done it before,but not with many people.
Planned location: Showcase Cinemas,Nottingham. But that doesnt mean that anyone else cant do this too,among all us Scream fans in the world im sure theres lots of you that would do this.. So, when the time gets nearer i hope to get some people rounded up and into see Scream 4 with mainly Killers entering the Screen. Before entering i plan to get a picture of loads of Ghostfaces lined up ready to go. All i ask is that if this does happen in your area,then send the pictures here and ill put them all on the site for everyone to see.And if anyone is daring or lucky enough then to get a picture of everyone sat in the screen.(with permission off staff of course) |
